How do I submit a review?
Click here to send us a review, or send an email to stomkiel@chplnj.org with “Book Review” in the subject line. We will add your review to the website.
What should I include in my review?
Each review you submit should include the title, author, year of publication, and a rating from 1-5 (1=don’t bother, 2=Just Okay, 3=Good, 4=Excellent, 5=Must Read!).
Also include at least one descriptive category (e.g., mystery, romance, biography, science fiction, Western, adventure, non-fiction, horror, fantasy, poetry).
Reviews can be from 20-250 words and should include a brief summary of the plot and your opinion of the book. Let us know why you did or did not like it.
Will my name appear on the review?
Yes, if you want it to appear. Be sure to let us know how you would like to be identified on your post. You can also sign your post as “Anonymous” if you do not want to be identified.
How do I post a comment?
To comment on a book review, you must first create a free WordPress account:
- Click on the title of the book review post.
- Under Leave a Reply, click the “You must be logged in” link.
- Click the Get a free WordPress account link.
- Create a Username and Password, and be sure to include an email address.
- Important: Select the Just a username option (unless, of course, you want to start your own blog).
- Click the Next button. You will be automatically logged in to WordPress.
- Go back to http://chplnjbooks.wordpress.com.
- Click on the title of the book review you would like to discuss.
- Under Leave a Reply, type your comment and click Submit Comment.
Note: Your comment will not appear on the blog until the administrator approves it.
